The Swiss Heritage Series doors are locally manufactured by Amish craftsmen.
These doors are made with stiles and rails. Because these doors are solid wood stave core, you get your choice of native hardwood specie. Door thickness is 1 ¾” standard, with options up to 2 ¼” thick. Panels are two layers of solid wood, available in 1 3/8” std, and up to 2 ¼” thick. The door has better stability when using stave core versus using a solid piece of hardwood for stiles and rails. Using three-point hardware on 8/0 doors is highly recommended.
We assemble these doors in 1 ¼” thick exterior door frames (with matching specie) with heavy duty 4 ½” ball-bearing hinges, all composite bronze door sills and weatherstripping.
